What is a music publishing administrator?
A music publishing administrator is someone who handles the collection of publishing royalties for your music on your behalf.
At Identity Music, we work with our publishing clients to register assets worldwide, collect publishing royalties you're owed and handle any conflicts that arise too.
Your music is registered with Performance Rights Organisations (PROs), Collective Management Organisations (CMOs) and Mechanical Rights Organisations (MROs) across the world to ensure all royalties are collected on your behalf.
Does Identity Music take ownership of my music to collect publishing royalties?
No! You retain 100% of the copyright of your music at all times. We represent your assets with the relevant worldwide bodies to collect royalties on your behalf, but the ownership of your music always remains yours.
What are the fees for music publishing administration?
There are no upfront or hidden fees for music publishing administration at Identity Music. We work on a royalty share basis, where we retain a small percentage of royalties collected on your behalf. The royalty split is bespoke to each client, but your share will always be 80% or more.
