Frontend Developer Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain responsive and user-friendly web applications using React and Next.js
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in JavaScript (ES6+) and CSS.
- Integrate with RESTful APIs to fetch and display data.
- Collaborate closely with designers and product managers to translate UX and usability requirements into beautiful and functional interfaces.
- Ensure the highest standards of clean and robust UI development.
- Debug and troubleshoot UI issues raised by team members.
- Contribute to and understand our deployment pipelines (GitHub).
- Actively participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Be willing to learn new concepts and libraries as needed.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in React and Next.js (v14/v15).
- Strong command of JavaScript (ES6+) and CSS / Tailwind CSS
- Experience consuming RESTful APIs.
- Demonstrable strong focus on UX and usability.
- Proven ability in clean and robust UI development.
- Understanding of deployment pipelines (GitHub).
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A willingness to learn new concepts and libraries.
- Ability to communicate and translate team feedback into actionable technical implementations.
- Comfortable solving challenges outside their immediate scope.
- A genuine interest in innovation, not just building.
- Availability for significant timezone overlap with UK working hours (e.g., typically 10 AM - 6 PM BST).
Bonus Skills (nice to have):
- 1-2 years of professional development experience.
- A portfolio or examples of previous work that showcase your skills.
- Experience with Next-Auth.
- Familiarity with Node.js.
- Knowledge of animation libraries like Framer Motion.
- Experience with state management libraries such as Zustand (or Redux, Remix).
- Experience with the React-Query/TanStack ecosystem (e.g., TanStack Table, TanStack Query).
- Familiarity with AI tooling/workflows or prompt engineering.
- Experience with Docker, Bash/Shell Scripting, and package management.
- Understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
- Hands-on deployment experience.
- Python experience.
Publishing Assistant Responsibilities:
- Meticulously registering musical works (compositions) with relevant Performing Rights Organisations (PROs), such as PRS for Music (UK), ASCAP/BMI (US) and other collection societies worldwide
- Ensuring accurate and timely submission of all necessary metadata, including song titles, composers, lyricists, IPI/CAE numbers, song splits, and alternative titles
- Managing and updating a comprehensive database of all registered works
- Maintaining precise and up-to-date records of all musical works, associated rights, and agreements
- Auditing existing data for accuracy and resolving any discrepancies or missing information
- Liaising with composers to gather essential information for new registrations and updates
- Serving as a primary point of contact for composers regarding their publishing registrations
- Communicating effectively with PROs and other collection societies to ensure smooth registration processes and resolve any queries
- Assisting in the protection of musical copyrights by ensuring correct and complete registrations
- Monitoring and tracking registration statuses and responding to any enquiries or issues

- Analytical Thinking: The ability to logically approach problems and resolve issues related to data and registrations.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Clear and professional verbal and written communication is essential for liaising with composers and external organisations.
- Computer Proficiency: Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and/or Google Suite (Sheets) is crucial for data management. Experience with music industry-specific databases or rights management software is a bonus.
- Self-Starter Mentality: You are proactive, take initiative, and can work independently to meet deadlines.
- Passion for Music: A genuine interest in the music industry and an understanding of its unique ecosystem, particularly around intellectual property and creator rights, will be a significant advantage.
