Yes! Track splits don't cost you anything extra and are simple to setup in your Identity Music dashboard.

What information do I need to set up a track split?

You will need your collaborator's name, email address, and the revenue share percentage they'll be paid.

How do I create a track split with Identity Music?

1. Log into your Identity Music distribution dashboard
2. Select 'Catalogue' then find the Release you need to add track splits to (note: your release must have been distributed and approved before track splits can be added)
3. In the left side menu, select 'Track Splits' then click 'Add Splits' in the right hand corner
4. Select the track(s) to add splits to then click 'Add Splits' under the Options dropdown
5. Add your payee details (the collaborator's info) and their percentage share - you will need to add 'This account' as a payee too, making sure that the percentage totals add up to 100%
6. Click Add Split, do the same for any other tracks on that release, then click 'Create Splits' to save

Can I add track splits after a track is live?

Yes! Follow the same process as above to add track splits to a live release. Remember that track splits will not be retroactively applied, so if a payee has missed out on revenue share on a release that's already been earning royalties, you will need to discuss any backdated revenue owed with them directly.

Can I edit track splits if I've made a mistake?

To edit track splits after they've been saved, contact Identity Music's support team who will be happy to adjust anything you need.
