Pex (recently bought by Vobile) is a rights management technology that enables rightsholders to protect their copyright by identifying audio or video matches across multiple platforms. Pex also detects the use of generative AI in audio and video assets to empower DSPs, distributors and others to identify AI-generated content.
Using Pex's core technology, audio and video matches can be easily identified over multiple platforms, even if the audio or video has been significantly modified from the original. As little as one second of matching audio can be identified by Pex's system, even matching against speed and pitch changes, mashups, multi-track remixes and noisy environments.
By utilising Pex's identification technology, rightsholders (artists, record labels, publishers, etc.) can track usage of their content to manage licensing and monetisation and ensure compliance with copyright laws.
Pex hosts a library of over 100 million audio assets, including from major record labels, allowing easy matching of audio and identification of rightsholders.
