What is Christmas all about? Surprisingly, no, it’s not about the presents. And no, it’s not the chocolates… No, it’s not even about the turkey! What Christmas should be about is giving. Giving to those you care about, giving to those in need and most importantly giving to those less fortunate…

This year we have been absolutely blown away by the generous spirit of one young musician from Somerset. We are very excited and honoured to be working alongside the incredible Lyra Cole in bringing her new charity Christmas single to the world.

Following her success last year where she took the UK by storm, Lyra and her family have set their sights on the 2020 top-spot. Despite missing out on the top spot in the charts with her cover of “When A Child Is Born”, Lyra managed to raise an amazing amount of money for a great cause and this year, hopes to bring more hope and support to those in need.

Lyra’s new release, a cover of Shakin’ Stevens festive favourite “Merry Christmas Everyone”, will donate proceeds to Brain Tumour Research, a brilliant charity who provides research and support for those affected by brain tumours.

The harsh realities of a brain tumour are something that Lyra and her family know all too well. When she was just a baby, seven-year-old Lyra had a brain tumour the size of an orange which had to be removed. The surgery was an initial success but complications with her sight meant Lyra had to undergo a second procedure only a year later. Now, Lyra has restored her sight and made a full recovery from her condition and hopes to continue supporting those afflicted by the condition.

With her newest charity single, Lyra hopes to raise money and awareness for the charity and bring some more snowy support to the cause.

After a bleak year for so many, it is inspiring to see Lyra, a seven-year old singer, raise everyone’s spirit with a beautiful rendition of this Christmas classic. The song is accompanied by an upbeat and cheerful video of Lyra and her little brother Charlie in the arcades, dressed as elves. It shows the importance of giving, generosity and cheer at this time of the year…

Brain Tumour Research has said that Lyra shows an inspiring story of hope, but that “many others are not so fortunate”.

Brain tumours are indiscriminate, affecting anyone at any age. They are the biggest cancer killer in children and adults under 40 years old, yet they typically receive just 1% of the national spend on cancer research. By supporting Lyra, you can help this charity do the vital research it needs to help so many more people.

Be sure to follow the links below to check out the single, and purchase the track for just 99p. Money raised from the track will go to supporting an amazing charity and will help Lyra reach the 2020 top spot she deserves!
