How much does it cost to upload music to Amazon Music?
Distributing your music with Identity Music comes with no upfront fees or hidden costs. Instead, we work on a customised royalty share basis determined based on your specific distribution needs.
Uploading your music to Amazon Music and over 80 other global platforms is included in your royalty share agreement, as well as support with music promotion and digital rights management. There are no upfront fees, no additional costs for extra features, and no long-term contracts locking you into unfavourable deals.
How long does it take for my music to go live on Amazon Music?
We’re trusted by artists and labels to get music online fast.
Once you’ve uploaded your release to your Identity Music dashboard, we review your tracks within 3 working days (often much sooner), then your music is sent straight over to Amazon Music and your other chosen platforms.
Amazon Music can take 1-2 days to fully ingest your music, then it will be live for the world to listen to!

When do I get paid by Amazon Music?
Royalties earned by your music on Amazon Music are paid out to you each month, a maximum of 45 days after the end of the month those royalties were earned in.
As an Identity Music client, your payouts are made via PayPal or direct bank transfer in every month that you earn over the $50 USD payout threshold.
How can I get more streams on Amazon Music?
At Identity Music, we’re invested in your success. Through Amazon Music editorial playlist pitching, social media promotion and digital rights management, we help your music reach more listeners and maximise your revenue.
The best thing you can do to get more streams of your music on Amazon Music is to have an active social media presence to keep your fans engaged, and maintain a consistent release schedule to give fans new music to listen to.
One thing we would absolutely not recommend is paying for streams, whether that’s on Amazon Music, Spotify or any other streaming platform..
While there are companies who claim to offer ‘legitimate, organic’ streams of your music in exchange for a few dollars, paying for these services is against Amazon Music’s terms of service and the organic streams those services offer are almost-always artificial bot streams, which can result in you receiving fines, takedowns and even prosecution.

Does distributing to other platforms cost extra?
Just like everything we do, distribution to other platforms alongside Amazon Music comes with no additional fees or hidden costs.
Whether you choose to distribute your music to one platform or all our platforms, the only cost to you will be the agreed royalty share in your distribution agreement.
There are no upfront costs to distributing your music and you always keep the lion’s share of your earnings, no matter how many platforms your music is released on.
I’m struggling with my release - how can I get support?
Supporting our independent artists and record labels is one of the things we’re best at.
Our Client Management team can be contacted via email, social media, live chat or telephone - and they’re real humans with a real desire to help you resolve any issues, with no chatbots or automated responses in sight.
During working hours (10am-6pm UK, Monday to Friday) our live chat response time is under 2 minutes, which makes us one of the most responsive distributors in the industry.
